What,
I ask you, could be more godless, or what sin could be more horrible,
than rejecting the grace of God and not wanting to be justified by
faith in Christ? Surely it is enough and more than enough that we
are godless and transgressors of all the commandments of God. And
now we add this worst of all sins to the list: that with unconcern we
spurn the grace and the forgiveness of sins offered us through
Christ. This blasphemy is greater and more horrible, believe me,
than anyone can tell.
